Associate Director
Denny Rengifo is a board-certified chaplain who currently serves as Associate Director of Adventist Chaplaincy Ministries, supporting healthcare and campus chaplaincy across the Atlantic, Columbia, Southern, and Lake Unions within the North American Division. She holds a Master of Divinity degree from Andrews University Theological Seminary and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Pastoral Care from Southern Adventist University. She previously served as Chaplain Manager at White Oak Medical Center, Adventist HealthCare, where she ministered for nearly nine years and developed expertise in grief care, ethics, and palliative care.
In addition to her civilian ministry, Chaplain Rengifo serves as a military chaplain in the United States Air Force Reserves as an Individual Mobilization Augmentee (IMA), assigned to the 633rd Air Base Wing at Joint Base Langley–Eustis, Virginia, where she ministers to Airmen through counseling, preaching, providing religious accommodation, and offering spiritual encouragement. She also has prior service as an enlisted Non-Commissioned Officer in the United States Marine Corps.
A native of the Dominican Republic, Chaplain Rengifo grew up in Miami, Florida. She is married to Pastor John Rengifo, and together they have three children—Sophia, Jasmine, and Benjamin. Enthusiastic, collaborative, innovative, and adventurous, she is passionate about mentoring others and helping them discover and live out their God-given purpose. She enjoys traveling, long-distance running, and spending time with friends and family.
Chaplain Rengifo finds hope in the scripture Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
